Kiss The Girl.
Colbie Caillat, I'm starting to like you.
Since I'm a huge Disney fan, I'm telling you this. I was watching Whose Line Is It Anyway just now. Then, there was a commercial break. I had to flick through a couple of channels to wait for the ads to end. God, they never stop. As I was doing so, I heard Colbie Caillat singing a song on MTV. It was pretty familiar. My ears were very pleased.
It was Kiss The Girl, an Original Soundtrack from Disney's Little Mermaid. When I was 5 to 8 years old, I watched Little Mermaid over and over again. It's my all-time fav Disney movie. As a result, I developed an interest in underwater-related things. I liked collecting seashells and make necklaces out of them whenever I went to the beach. I also memorized the songs from the movie. Haha. No wonder, eh?
Kiss The Girl is a calypso song, sung by Samuel E. Wright (voice of Sebastian). He's a Jamaican. Jamaicans are awesome singers, no doubt about that. Alan Menken was the one who wrote the song, he's the best composer I know, (more like the only composer I know). His songs are always good.
Thank God Coco is hear to save the day. Ashley Tisdale's version was less 'charming', however quite catchy. Now, try watching these videos and compare them yourself, they differ so much you see.It was Kiss The Girl, an Original Soundtrack from Disney's Little Mermaid. Colbie Caillat is so awesome, I absolutely adore her breezy beach-girl style. And her voice is so mellow. Gosh, she is such a wonderful inspiration.
